That’s right, I said just get up and go. Often we are invited to networking events, conferences, group meetings and other business development opportunities. Go as often as you can. And try not to bring a friend. When we go alone, we are forced to speak to others. Be present. Be authentic. And bring your A-game. You never know who you will meet, or where you will meet them. They may not help you in your current job, but may help you find your next job, refer a customer to you, or help you find funding. You’ll never know, unless you get up and go.
